With the Chu Du collection, Hanoia has had an inspiring encounter with 2 talented illustrators Camelia Pham and Lys Bui to bring a youthful and vibrant touch to the art of lacquer. This is not only an opportunity for Hanoia to spread the essence of lacquer to the young Vietnamese generation, but also a chance for these talented artists to experiment and leave their unique character on this diverse art form. The special feature of Chu Du lies in various ways of expression from the two female artists, depicting the richness of human emotion.

Là nữ họa sĩ trẻ với nét vẽ phá cách, Camelia Pham gây ấn tượng người xem bằng sự bùng nổ của sắc màu trong từng bố cục, hình khối. Dáng hình đôi bàn tay đã khéo léo tạo nên bức tranh với những chú ngựa tự do giữa vùng thảo nguyên xanh màu cỏ non. Ở đó, sắc đỏ đầy năng lượng kết hợp cùng họa tiết được vẽ tay vô cùng tinh xảo, bắt mắt như đưa ta lạc vào không gian của sự yên bình và mộng mơ. The painting of urban sounds and colors
In contrast to the feminine and conceptual nature of Camelia Pham, Lys Bui is known for her realistic and vivid illustatión, closely related to urban themes. In her artworks, in addition to the authenticity in depicting architectural landscapes, Lys Bui leaves her signature style by paying attention to the “soul of the streets” – the lively and poetic aspects of city life.
In this collaboration, the streets of Hanoi come to life through the exquisite design that holds the viewer’s gaze, allowing for longer observation and deeper feelings.
Familiar street corners are recreated with just enough “sound” and “color” on a gradient yellow background, reminiscent of the characteristic lime walls of the old town.
Lys Bui’s familiar and graceful strokes have captured the image of the romantic streets of Hanoi in Thong Dong. Amidst the beautiful sun-kissed walls, we all immersed in the slow-paced, leisurely life in the alleyways – where sounds of motorcycles passing by, the echoes of street vendor’s calls, and the murmurs of chat over a cup of coffee can be heard. In particular, the details of the utility pole serve as a creative connection between blocks of houses, creating a dynamic movement across the entire surface of the product.
