Founded in 2016, Hanoia is rooted in one of Vietnam’s most enduring artistic traditions. We see lacquer not as a memory to preserve unchanged, but as a living material—capable of carrying Vietnamese culture into contemporary life.

Before lacquer becomes visible, each form is prepared and strengthened. The unseen foundation gives the finished object its integrity.
LayersLacquer is applied, rested and refined in succession. Each layer contributes to a depth that cannot be produced at once.
ColourPigment and lacquer are balanced by a trained eye. Colour is not placed on the surface; it becomes part of its structure.

TimeBetween sanding, water and polishing, time is an active material. Patience gradually reveals luminosity and depth.
