In my magic world, people will travel by bike. But there must be a train, for sure!
Sometimes her friends exclaim: “Vy, you are too nostalgic!” The nostalgia, which refers to people who want to live forever in the past, was our impression when we met Vy for the first time.
Vy looks like a young girl who has just stepped out of the famous film “L’Amant”. On a Peugeot bicycle stained with the color of time, she passes the old houses, the old streets of Hanoi in the shadow of green trees, immersing herself in the autumn breeze.
But if someone says: “Vy has locked herself up in the old things, escaping reality!”, they are totally wrong.
On the contrary, Vy has a strong desire to explore the outer world. Nostalgia doesn’t keep her in the past, but remains as a base to help her dreams and imagination fly far!
Thùy Vy, 30 years old, in charge of Hanoia’s collections, born and raised in Hanoi’s old quarter, shared: “I like a miniature world filled with plants and flowers, where there aren’t cars, only bicycles, but there must be a train passing by. There, with a magnifying glass in hand, I’m a giant exploring the world.”
And perhaps because of that, if we want to understand Vy’s inner world, we should try to look at products which involved her in the phase of development. We will understand the nostalgia for the beautiful things of the past that Vy has embraced over the years since her childhood is a sweet nectar to nourish her from within.
